Taking a class titled "Breaking Free" and although I can not share the intimate discussions that happen within the sanctuary, I can share with you the written guidelines for you all to read and interpret and study and discuss on your own. For anyone who may need to get away from something. An old relationship, any hurt, any binding situation or past memory that is hindering your mind PLEASE READ AND DO NOT HESITATE TO ASK QUESTIONS.

 All RED words are my own personal thoughts, opinions and notes. All BLACK words are from the pre-written book.

Lesson 1: Why do we need to break free?

The past hurts, fears and wrong beliefs, we have developed character flaws that hold us back from becoming all that God intended for us to be. These issues have left open doors for Satan to bind us up and stunt our growth, never allowing us to reach full spiritual maturity.

Break Free From : Anger, bitterness, perversion, unforgiveness, betrayal, abandonment, addictions, abuse (physical, mental, emotional, sexual, spiritual) -
These issues become weights that slow us down. The "weights" remain in place until our issues have been identified and dealt with biblically. NOT IN OUR OWN WAY.
* READ - Hebrews 12:1

Break free from a bent character:
When we react to life by what we experienced or learned in the past, it may not be in a balanced, healthy way. This is because when we see life through the lens of our issues, we develop distorted views. Making our life choices based on those views develops a "bend" in our personal character.
